Thrive consists of two community initiatives set on improving the day-to-day wellbeing of those facing a variety of mental and physical challenges. Through the use of The Singing Cafe and Tea Parties, we aim to improve quality of life by encouraging positive mental and physical activities.
We also now offer a telephoning, and visiting service with potential medical appointment transport as part of our Lunch Parties. (Transportation must be enquired about prior to theses events)
For further information on any of this, please get in touch.
Our Singing Cafes are now in their eleventh year, and run in seven different community venues spread across the county; we have services in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Loughborough, Shepshed, Coalville, Melton, Wigston and Alfreton. Our cafes aim to help people with mental health challenges such as Dementia.
With a wealth of research backing the positive effects of music on the brain, The Singing Cafe helps to encourage positive mental and physical wellbeing.
We also offer Lunch Parties that have been running for seven years and are located at our charity facility in Stanton. These are open to anyone that wishes to join in and believes they could
benefit from having an afternoon out and making new friends. Whilst initially introduced as a means of combating loneliness in the elderly, our Lunch Parties quickly developed into an all-inclusive service once wider-community need was recognised.
We see a lot of our guests accessing both of Thrive’s initiatives, and it is great to see the difference our support makes to people’s lives. We pride ourselves on being able to offer a safe a friendly environment for people to come along and be fully accepted, be themselves and thrive!
